REVIEW: SunRice Mini Bites

SunRice Mini Bites are delicious, small rice cakes, seasoned with tasty natural flavours and they are the perfect bite-size for children. Packed with whole grains, they also contain less fat than regular potato chips, for a yummy and healthy lunchbox snack or snack for adults at work.

They are small, convenient, healthy and handy packets from SunRice Mini Bites that leave snack time too easy.
Great for on the go and to pack in the school lunches.
These could also be a great opt to have out on the table when you have a party instead of having the potato chips.

Don't be fooled into thinking these are just for kids - they're for us mummies, daddies even just ladies or man. They're a bit indulgent I say, compared to the plain old big round rice cake you have bite size and flavored right at your finger tips!

SunRice Mini Bites are available in three flavours - Spooky Original, Devilish Chicken and Creepy Cheese.
Our personal favourite was the Creepy Cheese. It made me re-live primary school when they had cheese popcorn - obviously these mini bites are way better for you though.

I think the quantity in the packet is possibly a little much for the younger kids - I know I struggled trying to eat the whole packet as it just felt like too much at one time.

Sizing of the mini bites compared to a 5 cent coin

The Devilish Chicken SunRice Mini Bites I wasn't a fan of, I felt there wasn't much of a chicken flavour on the mini bites to me. For this flavor to be something I would enjoy I think the flavor should be more of an intense chicken flavor that hits you like the Creepy Cheese has.

What I would like to see is the range expanded in flavoring - Salt & Vinegar is always a well loved pick. I know I would be keen to have a try of that if it was to ever be in the range.

SunRice Mini Bites have high wholegrain content and nutritional value which makes them National Healthy School Canteen Amber compliant – a sure fire win with parents. In fact, one pack of Mini Bites provides almost 70 per cent of the Grains & Legumes Nutrition Council™ (GLNC) recommended daily intake of wholegrain for toddlers and around 40 per cent of the target intake for 4 - 9 year olds.

3 great facts you should know:

  • Mini Bites require no preparation for the mum
  • Mini Bites are less processed than other rice cracker products
  • SunRice and thus Mini Bites are Australian made

Available now in the Woolworths’ health food aisle.
RRP $5.79 for 8pk.

The Kidstore Launch in Chadstone

The Kidstore store front at Chadstone Shopping Centre

The Kidstore has a new store in what better place then the fashion capital - Chadstone Shopping Centre! I was invited in for a squizz, a shop and to meet the team!

Never before had I known this brand before the lovely Lisa & Lydia introduced me to them with a gorgeous little jumpsuit for Niahbella as a welcome to the world gift.

Niahbella in her gifted jumpsuit from The Kidstore
The feel and look of The Kidstore shop  really draws your eye and practically pulls you in from the centre- it's bright, fun and very eye catchy!!

It was an amazing night to be able to meet the a few of the ladies behind The Kidstore as well - Rebecca, Linda & Gemma! These ladies were angels on the night - helping us out and chatting to us. There is nothing better then having the people behind a brand being hands on and meeting their customers.

Rebecca (behind clothes rack) giving a little speech

Us lucky bloggers were able to have a shop around with a courtesy of some gifted credit towards purchases which I went over our credit gift in a flash and purchased more cute items on the side. The staff were all very friendly giving me a hand to be able to find the sizes I needed for bubs and I picked up several adorable items on the night that I can't wait for her to get into!!

My purchases from The Kidstore:
Floral dress $30, Pink striped jumpsuit $25, Black and white romper $20,  floral shorts $20 and Sophie Giraffe $35

To be honest I actually wasn't really to excited for baby clothing, but with being introduced to The Kidstore I've developed a little passion for fashion through Niahbella and The Kidstore will definitely have me back many more times!!

The Kidstore not only stock children's clothing but they have a wide range of stunning accessories and toys.

(only wish they weren't so big for her!)

The Kidstore has gorgeous pieces that are at great affordable prices! There's none of this odd pricing like $21.95 or $33.50 it's straight forward solid rounded prices of $10, $15, $30 etc.

The Kidstore does baby sizes which are from newborn to size 1 (12-18months) and then they go into kids which is from size 2 to 6.

I love that The Kidstore prints are very bold and unique, there is no patterned stuff that is the regular of style.

The Kidstore have 5 stores in NSW, 3 stores in QLD and 7 stores in VIC - which can all be listed here(I'm spewing because I used to live in Mornington and they have now got a store right around the corner from where I was living!)

The Cheesecake Shop Naughty or Nice Survey + WIN: The Cheesecake Shop vouchers

The Cheesecake Shop Finds Out if Australia is Naughty or Nice with National Survey

This Christmas, The Cheesecake Shop is making a list, checking it twice and finding out if Australia is naughty or nice with a national survey. From November 18, Australians can take the ultimate test at www.facebook.com/thecheesecakeshop and find out what Santa will be stuffing there stocking with this year.

Peter Dable, National Marketing Manager of The Cheesecake Shop, said “This survey is a chance to determine once and for all whether Australia is a nation of do-gooders or not so nice guys. We included questions that address those pesky moral dilemmas Australians encounter over Christmas and throughout the year”.

The survey will make Australians question their response to scenarios such as the last piece of cake, cooking the Christmas barbeque and the art of re-gifting. However, as it is the season for giving and participants, naughty or nice, will receive a $5 thank you voucher to spend at their nearest The Cheesecake Shop.
