DOWNTOWN Calvin Klein balances feminine woods and a soft, floral scent to create a confident, modern fragrance with a unique signature and an unexpected edge.

I've never owned nor smelt a Calvin Klein perfume before so this was a special gift to receive and be able to blog about.

Calvin Klein is a well known brand to us all and provides elegancy with a taste of a rich desire.

This perfume I could smell over and over. I haven't been a person to really smell all the notes within a perfume but with DOWNTOWN I really get to experience it all.

To me the smell's very feminine with summery flowers as your first off scent and then gives a warm musky end smell which lasts for quite a while on your skin, which is the tick we all look for on top of a gorgeous scent as well! This fragrance I would wear on the warmer days of spring/summer.

CK has definitely got me with this perfume and I will always be on the look out for what he brings out next in the fragrance range now.

The DOWNTOWN Calvin Klein fragrance opens with bright top notes of Italian cedrat, bergamot and Tunisian neroli. for the middle notes, a contrast of pink peppercorn dusted over violet leaf and gardenia petals enhances the feminine sophistication. a dry down of Texan cedarwood with touches of incense, vetiver and warm velvet musks leaves an unmistakable, confident and sensual attitude.

Bottle & Packaging

DOWNTOWN Calvin Klein features a light pink bottle with a natural curve that is simple and feminine. A striking silver cap with a unique hollow design and bright fuchsia accent adds an electrifying, modern edge.

The design concept is carried through to the outer packaging with a Mylar fuchsia carton that represents a strong femininity. A circular texture inspired by the cap conveys the individuality and uniqueness of the DOWNTOWN Calvin Klein woman.

The bottle is very simple plain looking which wouldn't catch my eye in a shop to pick up - the bottle really doesn't do justice to this perfume but I guess they do say never judge a book by its cover and that's exactly DOWNTOWN.
