Santa's Magical Kingdom 2014 REVIEW
Santa's Magical Kingdom
is a family event that you do not want to miss out on.
This year SMK is set
out on part of the Caulfield Racecourse meaning it allows for more fun to be
had in a bigger venue!
The getting there part
and parking was a breeze with the train station just across the road stopping
right out the front of the venue and with lots of parking at the Caulfield
grounds at a cheap price of what cost us $4 for 3.5 hours. There is also a
stack of parking on the road and at the station across the road also.
The new attractions
that were put underneath the big white tent this year was a frosty jumping
castle, a lego building centre and a little bookshop.
We love our books in
this house so we spent some dollars in there; as the price of the books were absolute
bargains! A retailed book of something you would expect to pay of around
$15-$20 was $5! We took home a lot of Christmas related books in preparation
for Santa’s big event that comes around once a year.
The faux snow area was
something I adored last year and it made for a real treat of a picture to be
able to put on the Christmas cards or on the wall but unfortunately they didn’t
have the sleigh that you could sit in this year which was disappointing as I
really liked that in the photos and it gave you the sense of feeling closer to
Santa for the children.
I do think the back
area of the big white tent was a little congested and could have been better
set out to allow you to get through the crowds of waiting lines to rides easier
as their seemed to have been a bit of wasted space at the entrance that could
have been used up.
Going from the past
Silvers Circus experiences the show has gone for a long period of time that
didn’t suit younger children even when they do intervals. My little darl wouldn’t
sit for the whole show and was getting grumpy and fidgety.
The show performance
for SMK this year was the perfect timing! It was cut down to just 5 main
performances and a few mini magic sessions with Santa.
There is also new
routines put into some of the performances which had me excited to see
something different!
SMK always impress me
with how good their pricing on the light up wands are. Going to events like
Disney On Ice for example where you are expected to pay around $25-$30 for a
light up wand or torch is just plain unacceptable I think. SMK had light up
star wands for $8! This is such an affordable time for your family day out.
All in all, this an
event that I would not miss this year and you should definitely take the time
out to have a fun filled 4 hours spent seeing the magic of what SMK has to
offer and how you can prepare your kids for this Christmas.

See you again SMK in 2015 where my cherub will be another year older and be able to take part in more of what SMK has to offer.
We love Santa's Magical Kingdom too and think it is well worth the price of the tickets! Great review. :-)
