The Ravens
Kicking off the latest hair trends list, Ravens is tempting brunettes to the dark side. A response to last season’s pastel shades, hero hair colour takes a daring, dangerous turn into deeper more sophisticated looks.
Inspired by the reflection of light on a peacock feather or a raven’s eye, darker hair shades will add surprising colours within colours – forest greens, night sky blues, violets, fire maple, true blood, deep peacock, rich chocolate and burning ember are the tones to watch. Best worn with power cuts, blunt fringes, pixie cuts and one length hair.

Warm Summer Tones
The second trend seeks an alternative to mainstream blondes with the creation of Warm Summer Tones. Taking its cues from nature’s deep colour elements and the warm glow of Australia’s desert landscapes, this trend is once again about letting go of last season’s faded pastels in favour of strong, handsome colours.
Softer, flowing and more natural hair is in this summer with longer layers and movement bringing out the beauty in a wide range of sunset tones. Shades include deep chestnut, desert rose, peach, apricot, burnt yellow, copper gold, honeycomb, golden syrup and rose champagne.
To create a beautifully blended colour the Goldwell Colorance® range was used for this trend. The palette of colours used is very warm and allows for that easy shift between soft creams to deep oranges with softness and fluidity.
Balayage Reverse Ombre
Last season’s balayage trend gets a new twist by playing with Balayage Reverse Ombre
– tones are lighter at the roots and darker at the ends for the coming season, with all hair colours brought into play, not just the blondes.
“We’re expanding on an existing concept and taking it up a level,” explains Alan White. “This trend is all about the freedom to personalise your hair using a wider range of different tones.”
“Designed to be worn with confidence, the new balayage creates greater movement and texture for wavy mid lengths to longer hair,” he adds.
Key shades in this trend are oyster and vanilla, titanium and steel, honey blondes and golden browns, caramels morphing into deep copper, apricot and flame red, and auburn with light copper.
The Goldwell Topchic® colour range allows for extensive creativity with a natural colour palette, with a huge variance in the blondes, brunettes and reds. A natural ombre is easy to achieve.
