National Nutrition Month with Chobani

March is the month of National Nutrition Month which unfortunately I was a little preoccupied with having gone overseas again as my Grandmother past so hence why you didn't see much on my blog when you know I am a huge lover of keeping healthy and having good nutrition diets.

When I feel pregnant with Niah I wanted to ensure that I would provide her with a good nutritional diet and teach her good eating habits right from the get go - don't get me wrong I'm not the sugar free household and very strict within our households diets. We are more of an in moderation diet where we follow the food guide triangle and cut back on those unnecessary food items.

Chobani were the ones who made me start thinking about Niah's diet and what I do for her to maintain a healthy diet for her.

Rexona Clinical Protection Antiperspirant Deodorant REVIEW

Deodorants are the essential, well for most of us anyway... I know they are for me.
Being a busy Mum of a 18 month old who is here there and everyone as well as trying to work and attend gym. I'm always needing to smell fresh and know that my deodorant is going to hang in there for long periods of time.

I always carry deodorant in my handbag, gym bag, car glove box and I have several laying around the house in spots of need because I care about my hygiene and I seem to sweat a lot - maybe it's from my thermogenic supplements to help me get hot and sweaty easier to burn fat haha.

Miss Muddy - Womens Only Obstacle Course

Miss Muddy - Women supporting women; a fun celebration of women, for women.

Miss Muddy - Creswick took place late November, 2014 in which lead me to enter myself into my first obstacle course race. Originally planned to do it with a friend but unfortunately she had to pull out on the day of Miss Muddy as she woke up feeling horrid, I sat in my bed at 3:30am in the morning - when the alarm went off wondering if I should go or not because I didn't want to be on my own. I overcome that feeling and got in the car and left, willpower and motivation to do it all on my own was there.

Mad Cow Mud Run - Obstacle Course

Mad Cow Mud Run is a 12km obstacle course that took place in Shepparton, regional Victoria on labour day weekend for 2015.  An obstacle course that had you doing 27 obstacles and kept you on your toes.

What I love about obstacle courses is not knowing whats next, yes you can read about the course before the event but when you get there your adrenaline gets going and excitement takes over that you forget what the obstacles were and in what order.
After you turn corners or walk, jog or run through the town you are then hit with the next obstacle to challenge yourself with.

The Peninsula Picnic

The Mornington Peninsula in Victoria is the most beautiful place that you can be in Victoria I say.
I have loved this place since I first moved down to the Peninsula back when I was 18 and have been living back and forth ever since. There is so many amazing attractions that bring tourists to the Peninsula for.

This weekend Mornington Racecourse is hosting the Peninsula Picnic;

The Peninsula Picnic is the most extensive food, wine and music experience ever created on the Mornington Peninsula, showcasing the very best local chefs, resident restaurants, and expert vignerons and vineyards. Discover the hidden gems from the region’s leading producers, growers, orchardists and gourmet storeowners set to the serene soundtrack of some of Australia’s finest live music acts.

Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story on Stage REVIEW

Dirty Dancing - The Classic Story on Stage who would have thought that you could have turned a much loved move into a theatrical production musical, well it's been done.

When I got together with a girlfriend to attend the exclusive opening night of Dirty Dancing here in Melbourne along with the some of the big shots like AFL players, NRL players, Australian TV actors and musicians I knew I was in for a good night but we were both feeling a bit puzzled in how this could be a musical and what they would sing about.

Cirque Du Soleil TOTEM - REVIEW

A fascinating journey into the evolution of mankind

On an island evoking the shape of a giant turtle, TOTEM™ traces humankind`s incredible journey – from our original amphibian state to our ultimate quest for flight. Along the way, it also explores our dreams and infinite potential, and the ties that bind us both to our collective animal origins and to the species that share the planet with us.

With scenes from the story of evolution randomly linked together in a chain, TOTEM returns to the beginnings of organic life in the primordial ooze. Featuring Neanderthals, Cro-Magnons, primates and men in suits, among others, the show depicts a world of archetypal characters who, in their own way, witness and act out the perennial, existential, questions of life.

Day 10 - Maxine's Shape Up Challenge

Today wasn't a so great day for me. Well... should I say this afternoon.
I woke up feeling fine and got myself all ready for gym, cooked breakfast for Niah and myself then went to get the little sleepy head up so we didn't miss care and Mummy could get to her gym class but I was feeling a little bit off... I just thought maybe it's because I need a few extra zzz time or that possibly I was getting cramps for the dreaded girly time.

Anyways, off I went to gym and did a 1 hour cardio session doing a cycle class - well let's just say I had the wrong underwear on and never knew you could get underwear burn on your bottom.
I'm sure I'm with many others out there that say that the cycle class bikes are not the comfiest seats in the world and I always walk away with a sore butt bone.

Fitness & Health Expo Melbourne 2015 + GIVEAWAY

It's that time again! Melbourne's Fitness & Health Expo is coming back around.
I wait all year long for this expo to come back as it's my favourite one, the benefits you gain from a Fitness & Health Expo in general is fantastic and leaves you full of motivation and aware of so many new things.

The first time I attended a Fitness & Health Expo was when I was working for a supplement company and worked the expo behind a brand, it was an eye opening experience and I honestly didn't think there would be such a range of patrons at the expo. Ever since attending the expo through my job I haven't missed a single Fitness & Health Expo since.

National Craft Month with Spotlight & KidsBusiness

Mid last week Niah and I took part in an event celebrating National Craft Month with Spotlight & KidsBusiness who hosted an extraordinary event that would be a crafters heaven.
I know my blog doesn't have such a focus in the past but this is something I am about to start getting into as we know, I have little Niah who is 18 months old now and I'm forever racking my brain and google's brains too for ideas on what to do to keep miss Niah entertained.
Not only keeping Niah entertained but it's assisting her in developing if not new skills then perfecting those skills that are already there.

Late last week I received my first coloring picture from Niah's care that Niah had done for me, it was such a special thing for me and takes it's residing home on the fridge. I'm super keen to have many 'one of a kind' art pieces from the artist herself Niah filling our home walls and to gift to family members.

Day 9 - Maxine's Shape-Up Challenge

A few hiccups in my gym training occured last week which saw me miss 3 days out of the week to train.

I'm getting bored of my current gym workouts and the base training of a full body workout in the challenge and I don't think it's enough for me so I have been adding in bits and pieces that are more tailored to me and to push myself into my current fitness levels.

I've been watching youtube videos and reading up on others exercise programs and getting some new ideas to put into my workouts at gym.
